SPEECHES. Patti Ryan has written more than 60 in the past decade or so, on
topics ranging from multiculturalism to public education, sustainable development
and women in business.

NEWSLETTERS. Patti has written and edited newsletters for organizations as
diverse as Canadian Friends of Burma, the International Centre for Criminal Justice
and Criminal Law Reform, World University Service of Canada and HSBC Global
Asset Management (Canada) Ltd., among others. For several years she
contributed quarterly articles on travel and lifestyle to
Encompass and Wealth
Horizons Quarterly
, two newsletters published by HSBC.

INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM. A feature written by Patti for National, the
magazine of the Canadian Bar Association, won a 2002 CAJ Investigative
Journalism Award. The story, which delved into a former Ontario government's

OTHER MAGAZINE AND NEWSPAPER WRITING. Patti has written for a variety of
Canadian newspapers, consumer magazines and trade magazines on a freelance
basis, ranging from the
Globe and Mail to Today's Parent, the National Post,
Vancouver Sun, Ottawa Citizen, Ottawa City Interiors and Canadian Healthcare

BOOKS. Patti wrote and edited Foundation Management in Canada in 1997, then
edited new, revised editions in 1999 and 2002. She contributed a chapter to
The
Real Guide to Canadian Universities, and  co-authored a book about innovation in
Canada, entitled
The New Innovators: How Canadians Are Shaping the
Knowledge-Based Economy.

CASE STUDIES. Southside Communications works regularly with the Federation of
Canadian Municipalities on case studies of its many Green Municipal Funds projects.

PROFILES AND SUCCESS STORIES. Southside Communications produced a series
of 20 in-depth profiles of former Order of Canada recipients for the Office of the
Secretary to the Governor General. We have also created profiles for Bell Canada
executives nominated for Canada's Top 100 Most Powerful Women. We regularly
produce profiles and success stories for the National Research Council's Industrial
Research Assistance Program.

WEBSITES. We have created new content for a variety of websites, including
those of Stratos Wealth Management (a division of
MD Management), World
University Service of Canada and the National Round Table on the Environment and
the Economy.

EDITING. Patti has edited everything from substantial handbooks to executive
summaries, profiles, newsletters, textbooks, quarterly investment reports and
other complex technical reports.
